The maximum available speed of python recumbents is limited because of negative trail. Our goal was to build a more steerable city recumbent with big (26") wheels and positive trail, keeping the front wheel driving and simple, short chain way. Similarly to python, it can be steered by legs also. Lauren Dechenne's and Zockra's (Speculos Evolution) experience was a great help in our work. The "Elephant" was built by Nagy "Lompi" József and Lipták-Pikó László.

Canadian Jim Iwaskow #288 rocketed out to the lead on the first 1.5 laps on his SuperStock Challenge lowracer equipped with his own homemade carbon fiber tailbox. The one unfaired stock racer was Sean Costin who averaged 29 mph drafting the orange velomobile powered by Tracey Thompson. And this was after Sean had raced the previous stock event! Dennis Grelk in the white and green streamliner won the race, followed closely by Tony Levand in the yellow streamliner.
